Shirley A. Carlos-Cu, MSN AGPCNP-C, is a dedicated and highly skilled Board Certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, recognized by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners since July of 2014.
Since March 2018, Shirley has been providing care in the Cancer-Dedicated Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner at Hackensack University Medical Center and John Theurer Cancer Center - Memorial Sloan Kettering - Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center and speciazing as a Nurse Practitioner in Hematology and Solid Tumor Inpatient.
With a Master of Science in Nursing obtained from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Shirley passionately advocates for high-quality patient care in the field of geriatrics.
Currently, she is enhancing her expertise through a Post Graduate Certification in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, while also providing care in Emergency Medicine in the Emergency Room at New York Presbyterian Hospital – The Allen Hospital, where she has been delivering comprehensive care since 2015.
As a problem solver and educator, she embodies the spirit of a life-long learner, and is currently motivatedly seeking certification in Advanced Oncology.
An avid runner, Shirley is also a contender for the Abbott World Marathon Major and an enthusiast of the Catskills 3500 Club.
Additionally, her commitment to compassionate care extends into her involvement in Liturgical Lay Ministry. As a widow and a devoted mother to three beautiful children, she also cherishes the companionship of her beloved furry four-legged son.
