Maya began her professional pursuits at Middle Georgia College in Cochran GA. earning an Associates degree in nursing in 2009. She then went to Walden University in Minneapolis MN, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2018. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Maya began working as a nurse in Houston Medical center in Warner Robins GA, and then she moved to New Jersey and began working at Nightingale Nurses as a traveling nurse. While working as a travel nurse, she served patients at hospitals such as Princeton Medical Center, St Barnabas Medical Center, and Hackensack University Medical Center.
Maya went back to school at Walden University in Minneapolis MN, and completed her Masters degree, and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner while working full time at the hospital to better serve her patients. Shortly after the completion of her Masters degree she joined the Advance Medical Group Hospitalist team.
Maya is fluent in both English and Spanish. She has strong bonds with the Northern New Jersey community; she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
